“Referring Practitioner” refers to a doctor or authorised healthcare provider who has issued a pathology request form.

3. Description of Services
Mo’s Home Pathology provides mobile pathology collection services. This means our trained collectors attend your home, workplace, or another suitable location to collect samples such as blood, urine, or swabs.
Collected samples are transported to an accredited laboratory where testing is performed.
Mo’s Home Pathology:
Does not conduct laboratory analysis
Does not diagnose medical conditions
Does not provide medical treatment or clinical advice
Laboratory results are issued by the testing laboratory and/or your referring doctor.
4. Who Can Use Our Services
To request or receive our services, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian
Be capable of providing informed consent for specimen collection
Provide accurate personal and contact details
Supply a valid pathology request form when required
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services if these requirements are not met or if providing the service would pose a safety risk.
5. Appointment Requests
Appointments can be arranged through our website, phone, email, or authorised partners.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided during booking is accurate and complete.
We may contact you to confirm appointment details or adjust scheduling if required. In certain circumstances, bookings may need to be declined or rescheduled due to operational or safety considerations.
Where a pathology request form is required, it must be provided before or during the appointment.
6. Service Fees and Payment
All charges are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).
Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be completed before or at the time of service.
Accepted payment methods may vary depending on booking method and available systems.
Pricing and service availability may change periodically. If an error occurs in pricing or service information, we will notify you and allow you to cancel the booking if necessary.
7. Appointment Changes and Cancellations
Appointments may be changed or cancelled with at least 2 hours’ notice.
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 2 hours’ notice or the patient is unavailable at the scheduled time, a cancellation fee of up to the full service amount may apply.
We may also need to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances such as staff availability, equipment issues, or safety concerns. In these cases, we will attempt to arrange an alternative appointment or provide a refund if appropriate.
8. Consent and Identity Verification
By requesting our services, you confirm that you consent to specimen collection and laboratory testing.
You authorise Mo’s Home Pathology to collect, handle, and transport your sample to an accredited laboratory for testing.
Patients may be required to present identification at the time of collection to confirm identity.
9. Collection Procedures
Our collectors follow recognised healthcare standards and infection control procedures.
All collection equipment is sterile and designed for single use.
While specimen collection procedures are generally safe, minor side effects such as temporary discomfort, bruising, or light-headedness may occur.
10. Laboratory Testing and Results
Once collected, samples are delivered to an accredited laboratory for processing.

Accuracy or interpretation of results
Results are issued by the laboratory or through your referring doctor. You should consult your healthcare provider regarding the meaning of any results.
11. Limitations of Testing
Laboratory testing is subject to various biological and technical factors. Test outcomes may not always detect every condition or abnormality.
No pathology test can provide a guarantee that a particular illness or medical condition is absent.
12. Health and Safety Notice
Mo’s Home Pathology takes reasonable steps to ensure that collection procedures are conducted safely and hygienically.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for minor medical reactions related to specimen collection, including but not limited to bruising, fainting, or temporary discomfort.
